Twenty-eight Nebraska Masters swimmers swam in the 2017 New Year’s Day Challenge at the Kroc Center in Omaha. They raised money for the Kroc Center and had lots of donations for the Omaha Food Bank. Thank you and Happy New Year!

Omaha Masters swimmer Michael McKamy meets most-decorated Olympian Michael Phelps outside the Century Link Center in downtown Omaha June 25th at the start of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Swim Trials. Governor Pete Ricketts signed an official proclamation at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln April 6 designating April 2016 as “Adult Learn to Swim Month.” Nebraska Masters swimmers attending the ceremony were (left to right): Sheila Wrobel, Erin Sullivan, Melanie Chapman and Lynn Ingraham.

25 Nebraska Masters swimmers participated in the 2016 New Year’s Day Swim Challenge at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Omaha. They swam 160,000 yards (97 miles!), but also raised $400 for the Kroc Center kids swim club and collected three boxes of food for the Food Bank.
